Em directed Jad Jacob's Beethoven: Live in Concert at The Green Room 42 on May 15, 2023! The cast included broadway's Brennyn Lark, Lexi Lawson, Michael Lee Brown, Oscar Williams, and Gabriella Pizzolo, as well as RJ Christian, Cara Rose DiPietro, and Jad Jacob.
Kitchen Sink's first EVER production in New York City, as well as Kitchen Sink's first EVER 48 Hour Play Festival! Director/Playwrights and Actors came together and were paired off into teams to create four 10 minute plays that were performed 48 hours later. The teams were each given a tweet from Cher's twitter account to prompt their writing.
This was performed in partnership with Matthew Corozine Studio in Midtown.
Em performed as Janice alongside Haley Rice as Megan in I Don't Wanna Read That Bullshit Newspaper, written and directed by Evan Simone Frazier.
Calling all trans* performing artists and allies! Two River Theater held a Transgender Day of Visibility Networking Brunch and Panel, and Em had the opportunity to speak as a panelist.
Em's pal Lizz Mangan's play, And the Lights of the Borealis Were Shining, had its world premiere at The Tank in February! After several workshops over the years (Workshop, University of Connecticut, 2016; Workshop, Gadfly Theatre Productions Final Frontier Festival: Fairytales, 2017; Residency, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, 2019), Borealis has been adapted from a 30 minute piece into a full-length play, under the direction of Em Hausmann.
Em worked as the Associate Director of Elf the Musical at the Madison Theatre last holiday season, alongside Director Angelo Fraboni and Choreographer Bethany Moore. Elf ran December 17th-23rd, 2022.
Emily is directed the world premiere of The Very Last Dance of Homeless Joe, a new play by Rich Courage, at Theater for the New City. Joe ran December 1st-18th, 2022.
Emily had the chance to perform in Cabaret on the Couch Live! at the Triad Theater on August 6th, 2022.
Emily worked as the Associate Director of Xanadu at the Madison Theatre this summer, alongside Director Angelo Fraboni and Choreographer Bethany Moore.
Emily worked as the Assistant Director of Carousel in Concert at the Madison Theatre last spring, alongside Director Aaron Gandy and Choreographer Lori Leshner.
Emily recently had the opportunity to direct, film, and edit Okay by Lizz Mangan, starring Sage Newman and Sam Kamelhar.
Last fall, Emily directed and choreographed The Wizard of Oz TYA, which was performed on October 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st at 11AM.

Emily finished up her senior year online, but in 2021 the Class of 2020 had the opportunity to return to campus and film their Senior Showcase songs! Click below to see Emily and her classmates' showcase videos!
Emily just wrapped up filming for a socially distant music video on the Molloy College campus, as part of their 2020 virtual gala performance. Students and alumni also sang back up to Lilias White, Duane McDevitt, and Michele McConnell. All performers and crew followed strict safety protocols, including wearing masks at all times, regular temperature checks and health questionnaires, and maintaining a safe distance.
Emily participated in Cabaret on the Couch, a virtual cabaret which seeks to benefit a different non-profit theatre company every month. She sang "True Believer," a duet from Experience Marianas! by Rob Rokicki, alongside Sage Newman.
Emily spent a third summer working with the Madison Theatre's Musical Theatre Summer Intensive as an assistant director and instructor! The MTSI team worked hard to reformat the program into a virtual setting, and proudly offered various workshops, elective courses, and socially distant performance opportunities. This year, Emily had the opportunity to assistant direct Joe Kinosian for the third summer on his new (virtual) musical, Live & Let Spy.
In May of 2020, Emily graduated from Molloy College/CAP21 Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre! A virtual commencement ceremony was held on May 18th, and is still available for online viewing, along with a directory of all individual graduates.
